The turnout for the 5K in 2025 was truly remarkable, with over double the attendance from the previous year. The Walk With You 5K raised over $36,000 in 2025—well beyond our original goal.

These funds directly support our mission to provide enduring care and tailored resources to families navigating child loss. Every registration, every donation, and every helping hand contributed to this milestone.

  • The WWY 5k is an annual fundraiser to support families who have experienced child loss.

  • Everyone is welcome! Whether you have experienced the loss of a child or not, please come walk with us!

  • WWY 5k will be held on September 19, 2026. We will be at the back loop of Water Works Park in Des Moines, Iowa.

  • There is a $30 fee to register per person. Please click “Register” at the top of this page.

    All proceeds go towards supporting families experiencing child loss.

  • Yes! Personalized signs honoring a special kiddo will be displayed along the 5k route and are yours to take home after the event. You do not need to be registered to purchase a sign. Please note: We are unable to mail signs at this time.

  • Yes! We will have a special kids run and activities.

  • Unfortunately, at this time we cannot have pets attend.

  • All attendees will need to register individually.
