Maisyn’s Story

Our sweet Maisyn Jane unexpectedly went home to be with Jesus 5/20/23 at 4 months old. We were and are still distraught. She was an awesome little girl. She loved to sing and babble anytime she was awake. She brought so much joy to our family and was in awe of her big sister. We had several pinch me moments when she was alive that we couldn't believe we were living the dream we always wanted. Two precious little girls. When she died, our perfect world shattered. Our families came around us to try to help us figure out how to piece our hearts back together. Our first step was to honor her with a funeral that reflected Maisyn Jane. Thanks to Walk With You, we were able to do that. They were able to guide us on how to show our little ones personality through decorations, stories told, photos, and toys. So many people came to us to tell us they felt like they were able to know her even though several were never able to meet her.

After her funeral, the dust settled and left us jealous of people’s lives that could continue on when ours didn’t feel like it could. Breath by breath, we were able to make one decision, one choice, complete one task at a time. Now, that is has been 4 months since her passing, we are still practicing these steps to find our footing constantly.

This season has been hard. There are few things that can bring comfort when you lose a child. One thing we have been holding onto is knowing we will be able to see her again some day when our time is up on the earth. It will be a lifetime for us, but thankfully just a blink of an eye for her. Even if the outcome was the same, we would do it all over again just to have you in our lives, Maisyn Jane. We love you, Sweet Girl.
